Mapping

If EnviroInsite did nothing other than mapping, it would still be a cost-effective GIS-substitute to the mainstream GIS products. EnviroInsite can read any of the common mapping and image file formats including:

nSHP
DXF / DWG
EMF / WMF
PNG/JPG/TIF/BMP
TFW/JGW

Shapefiles and the common CAD files are read and plotted in their native format.

Image files are read and automatically georeferenced to the world coordinates using the associated TFW and JGW world files. If these files are not available, the files can be georeferenced by associating points on the image with known world coordinates. Image files may also be draped on the land surface as defined by the surface elevations in the well data file.

Output may be generated to 3d Shapefiles, CAD files or any of the common image file formats.n
