DT_COORDINATE

Plot types that are not location-dependent, such as Boring logs, Stiff diagrams, and Piper diagrams, may be created with no associated DT_COORDINATE record.  Other plot types require a DT_COORDINATE value with a legitimate X and Y coordinate.

Field Name

Obligatory to Populate

Notes

SYS_LOC_CODE

Yes

Foreign key to DT_LOCATION.

COORD_TYPE_CODE

Yes

IDENTIFIER

Yes

X_COORD

Y_COORD

No

Time-history plots, Boring logs, Stiff diagrams, Durov diagrams, and Piper diagrams can be created with these values not populated.  The values are either provided as latitude-longitude pairs, or assumed to have length units that are consistent with the coordinate system selected in EnviroInsite.  If the user has selected either State Plane, metric or UTM then the horizontal units are in meters.  If the user has selected State Plane and feet, then the units are in feet.  If the user has selected Local then the units are ambiguous and assigned within EnviroInsite.

ELEV

No

This value is used for determination of the ground surface elevation.  The program will assign the maximum value of the DT_COORDINATE.ELEV for those records where the value is not populated.

ELEV_UNIT

No

If not populated, then the value will default to DT_WELL.DEPTH_UNIT, DT_LOCATION.UNITS, OR DT_FACILITY.ELEV_UNIT in that order.

DT_DOWNHOLE_POINT_DATA

Data from this table is used to generate profile charts on cross-sections and strip logs.

Field Name

Yes

Values are presumed to be in the same units as DT_FACILITY.ELEV_UNITS.

PARAM

Yes

PARAM_VALUE

The program does not make any unit conversions based on the PARAM_UNIT value.  All PARAM_VALUES for a particular plot are presumed to be in consistent units.

DT_FACILITY

Field Name

Obligatory to Populate

Notes

FACILITY_ID

Yes

Must be populated in this instance and in all other tables where it appears, whether or not cited in this document.

COORD_TYPE_CODE

Yes

Change either of these to select rows within DT_COORDINATE.

ELEV_UNIT

Yes

All elevation and depth values will be converted to these coordinates.

X_MIN

X_MAX

Y_MIN

Y_MAX

No

When connecting to a database, EnviroInsite uses these values as the default query limits and the initial view limits.  If not populated, then the program will use the calculated limits of the coordinates from DT_COORDINATE for the specified COORD_TYPE_CODE and identifier.

DT_LITHOLOGY

EnviroInsite treats lithology data as being derived from either borehole-scale inspection at a single location, or regional-scale observations representative of stratigraphic units.  The latter, referred to as Stratigraphy may be used to generate geologic models in both 3D and on cross-sections.  The former, referred to as Geology, are not used within EnviroInsite to interpolate between boreholes.  The stratigraphy values are required to conform to a layer-cake representation, although pinch-outs and missing units are handled within EnviroInsite.

Field Name

Obligatory to Populate

Notes

SYS_LOC_CODE

Yes

Foreign key to DT_LOCATION.

START_DEPTH

Yes

Values are presumed to be in the same units as DT_FACILITY.ELEV_UNITS.  Each record’s end-depth is given by the START_DEPTH of the succeeding interval (from top to bottom). For the deepest interval, the interval bottom is taken from the first non-null of DT_LOCATION.TOTAL_DEPTH or DT_WELL.DEPTH_of_well.

MATERIAL_NAME

No

Should be populated for representation of small-scale variation in soil and rock.  Used in boring logs and in boreholes plotted on cross-sections and in 3D.
