External Data

The external data format is a simple text file that can be either space or comma delimited.  For 3d-contour or 3d Classed Post, each record will need four values.  That's an x,y,z to define the location and a fourth value to define the value to be plotted.  For the other external data plots, like particle tracking 2d-Contour or 3d Surface, each record should only have an x,y value to define the location and a z value indicating the value to be plotted.
