Insert Image

Images are typically inserted to serve as high-resolution sitemaps.  In order to insert an image, select Insert -> Image and select the image file from the dialog box.  All of the most common image file formats are supported, which includes PNG, GIF, BMP, TIF and JPG.

Some image files are provided with an accompanying world coordinate file locate and scale the image in a consistent real-world coordinate system.  The world file must reside in the same folder as the image file and have the same file name, with a modified file extension.  TWF, JGW, PGW, and BPW are used to indicate that the files are world files for TIF, JPG, PNG, and BMP files.

Once inserted, the image file image can be moved, rotated and scaled.  First double click the image or the file name from the control tree, and then enter the properties in the dialog box.  From the dialog box, you can move, rotate or scale the image.  To make the image moveable, edit the image, check the moveable box, and click OK.  Now you can select and drag an image using a mouse.
