EarthSoft Takes EnviroInsite Under its Wing

The working relationship between EnviroInsite and EarthSoft goes back a number of years.  Now with the acquisition of EI LLC’s intellectual property (namely EnviroInsite) by EarthSoft, the powerful EQuIS database and the astounding graphics capabilities of EnviroInsite are under one roof.  This is an exciting move for EnviroInsite users, as the expanded user base will allow for development into areas that would not have otherwise been possible.  Stay tuned!

More EI – EQuIS Integration

With the acquisition of EnviroInsite by EarthSoft, you can expect to see more integration between the two products.  For starters, we’ve implemented a means of reusing the EQuIS Pick Report.  Now, EI users may tap into pick reports created in EQuIS Pro for either the Analytical Results or Analytical Results II reports to jump-start the generation of data queries in EnviroInsite.

Group-by-Sample Table

We thought we were through with improvements to the data table, but that’s not the case.  Check out our new Group-by-Sample data table option.  This provides a compact alternative to the cross-tab report, where in this instance the date and sample id are highlighted in header rows over the selected results.

Online Documentation

This was a huge effort, but based on feedback from clients it was worth it.  In addition to a table of contents, a standard index, and search bar, it’s all context sensitive.  That means that you can click on the “?” from almost any dialog box and the help document will open in your browser to exactly the right discussion.  Click here to see it for yourself.

Hints and Tips…

Reusing Your View

The ticket to leaving the office on time is being as lazy as possible and letting your software do the work for you.  We’re with you there, which is why we created the view template.  A typical practice, is to create one x-section, save out a template, then create a second section and reload the template.  Your boss doesn’t need to know how little work was involved.  Way to go – it’s time to go home.

N. Railroad Ave. Plume Superfund Site
New Mexico Superfund Site

The NRAP site is a state-lead site in its 7th year of groundwater treatment operations by in-situ enhanced reductive dechlorination. The site’s lead agency, the New Mexico Environment Department (NMED), recently completed a response action report to document ongoing progress in their remediation efforts. NMED utilized EnviroInsite in that effort to assist in the interpretation of sampling results.

Our Story

Originally written in 2002 as a tool for internal use at HydroAnalysis, the reaction of clients and other consultants made it clear that there was a need for a comprehensive and affordable data analysis tool tuned to the needs of environmental scientists and engineers working on hydrogeologic projects. Driven by continued internal use and testing and feedback from clients, the EnviroInsite feature set has grown rapidly as we continue to follow technical trends to make the program available to more people and easier to use than ever.

Thank you for your continued interest in EnviroInsite. Please send us a note if you would like more information on how EnviroInsite might be used at your office or have ideas for ongoing development.

Why EnviroInsite?

Piper diagrams, Stiff diagrams, and Schoeller diagrams enable you to analyze geochemistry. Fence diagrams, strip logs, and geologic modeling enable understanding of the hydrogeologic setting. Beyond that, georeferenced radial diagrams, Stiff diagram, pie charts, 3d surfaces, and particle tracking afford you tools to better understand the complex spatial and temporal relationships in your environmental data.

Tired of waiting for GIS staff to process your request? It's time to take control! EnviroInsite's expansive feature set leverages the power of the database to analyze your data in ways that would not be practical when divided between a handful of disparate applications.

The true power of EnviroInsite comes when staff work together using a single core application. Imagine for instance creating a document with multiple word processing applications or when only specially trained staff have access. That's standard operating procedure in analysis and visualization of environmental data. EnviroInsite provides the means to put that approach behind us.
